Hi! My name is Bruno Vilela. I am a biologist and data scientist mostly interested in Ecology and Evolution. Currently, I am a Professor of Spatial Ecology at the Federal University of Bahia (Salvador - Brazil). Generally speaking, my research program focuses on understanding large scale patterns of species and cultural diversity. I also work in developing open and free computational tools that facilitate data analysis in ecology, mainly using the R programming language.
